How to run a US Doubles Qualifier

Thinking about running a US Doubles Qualifier? You’ve come to the right place. Here’s how to get started.

ORGANIZE AN EVENT

First, organize a doubles tournament with 1 or more rounds. We suggest best shot format but that is not required. The event does not need to be PDGA sanctioned.

CREATE ACCOUNT &. REGISTER EVENT

Fill out our Tournament Director forms to get your event logged and into the approval process.

GET APPROVED

Once your event is approved you will receive details on next steps. Via email.
Format must be BYOP (bring your own partner). Captain's choice (best shot) doubles is preferred but not mandatory. Events can be as simple as 1 round.
All skill levels may play in a USDGC Doubles Qualifier, however only the top amateur division (usually advanced) will be competing for an invite to the US Doubles Main Event in Rock Hill SC: October 4-6, 2024.
Applications are accepted from Jan. 15 – Aug 15th and all qualifiers need to be completed by Aug. 28th.

How Invites Work

The number of USDGC Doubles Invites are based on the qualifier’s size:
Men's Team
1-14 teams = 1 team qualifies
15-24 teams = 2 teams qualify
25+ teams = 3 teams qualify
Women's Team
1-4 teams = 1 team qualifies
5-9 teams = 2 teams qualify
10+ teams = 3 teams qualify
